GTA 6 Trailer 3 Divides Gamers Following Second Delay

Rockstar has revealed the unfortunate news that Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed for a second time, making it more than a year until we can finally get our hands on the highly anticipated release.

However, fans are trying to look on the bright side and with rumours that the third trailer for GTA 6 will be released imminently - even as soon as later today (7 November) - it could just stem the pain just a little bit.

Following Take-Two Interactive’s most recent earnings call on 6 November, Rockstar Games took to social media to share the news that Grand Theft Auto VI would be pushed back from a 26 May to a 19 November 2026 launch.

Adding yet another six-month delay is unfortunate news for fans who have already been waiting over a decade since the last Grand Theft Auto entry, Grand Theft Auto V, was released. Nevertheless, it is a decision that Rockstar thinks will suit its title best according to its statement.

"We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realise has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve,” it read.

“We want to thank you again for your patience and support. While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City."

Looking on the bright side

However, as mentioned, fans are trying to look on the bright side and rumours of a third trailer are in full swing following the news.

“Moving on from the delay news, let’s focus on the bright side: Trailer 3 or screenshots are almost certainly imminent,” user colbysnumberonefan shared over on r/GTA6.

“Rockstar have never announced the delay of any of GTA 5, RDR2, or GTA 6 without giving us either a trailer or screenshots shortly afterwards to make up for the bad news.

I am almost certain that we will get either a new trailer or new screenshots before the end of next week, most likely Tuesday (with the last delay announcement it took 4 days).”

It is true that Rockstar is known for placating fans with a brand-new trailer following bad news so it would make sense that a trailer is indeed imminent.

Not only that but with some insiders claiming that a trailer could arrive as early as today, it really is worth keeping an eye out for our next official peak at Grand Theft Auto VI.

However, not all fans are convinced.

Patience is wearing thin

“I don’t even care if they released a new trailer, I’m f**king over Rockstar at the moment,” one user shared.

“They can keep their damn trailers until they have a release date set in stone. And it’s not like I’ll be able to play anyway because I’m on PC, so I get to wait even longer now.”

Another agreed, adding, “I doubt it.

At best they’re gauging the reaction to the delay and right now I don’t think a new trailer or screenshots will do much to appease people.

I could be wrong but it’s definitely not a certainty that they’ll release anything further atm.”
