The production of GTA 6 has really been much more in the public spotlight since the first trailer for the game officially released in 2023, with scrutiny on everything from what the game is going to be like to how Rockstar treats its staff.
That has worsened in recent months, as the company's decision to let many staff go has drawn significant criticism, in what many have described as an act of blatant union busting.
Other employees also lost their jobs after Rockstar claimed that they had been leaking information about GTA VI, breaking their contracts and various airtight non-disclosure agreements in the process.
Now, one example of the latter has resurfaced, and it seems like the information that came along with it could well have been a lot more accurate than we were led to believe at the time.

GTA VI Plot Leak Connected to Notable Layoff
Over on Reddit, one user shared an IGN post detailing the ongoing legal battle between many of the employees laid off by Rockstar, and the developer themselves.
In it, they detail how one employee was dismissed back in November 2023, which happens to coincide perfectly with a notorious post on the GTA subreddit, in which someone claimed to confirm a bunch of details about the game's story.

The gap of about a month between the post and the dismissal is certainly a big coincidence, if it is one, which gives the plot leaks a solid chance of being at least somewhat accurate.
The plot leaks claim Lucia commits a bank robbery in a flashback, with Lucia later being released on probation, where she is picked up by Jason, allowing them to immediately plan more robberies.
It also details a nightclub the couple frequent called "Vault" and other mechanics, including one which allows players to detect valuable items near them.
The comments were predictably intrigued to here that all of the above is likely to be real, with one saying, "It's really hilarious to see old leaks that turned out to be true but got wrecked by the comments in their time."

Another added: "Fired in November posted in October? Clearly this dev decided their parting gift to the world was a Reddit post about a deli baby. Not all heroes wear capes."
Whatever does happen to be true, here's hoping everyone developing at Rockstar gets to have a normal working life, one where they can even go home and rest occasionally. Madness, I know.
