We are in an era of remasters with game studios wishing to bring their hit (but slightly older) titles to modern day audiences with a series of graphical enhancements.

Just yesterday we saw The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered released, bringing the almost 20-year-old title up to today’s standards of graphics and titles such as The Last of Us have received multiple upgrades despite just being a decade old in comparison.

In the meantime, check out the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI below!

With technology advancing at an alarming rate, it makes sense that our standards are growing too and when it comes to Grand Theft Auto V, it seems as though fans are eager for the Rockstar title to receive the same treatment.

Although Rockstar has indeed released a remastered version of GTA V, this modded version shared to r/GTA6 recently gives us a glimpse at what the next Grand Theft Auto instalment could look like.

“Maybe you won't believe me but these photos are from GTA 5’s 'Natural Vision Evolved' mod,” one user posted, alongside a series of screenshots.

“The question comes to mind; can GTA 6 be better than this?”

Natural Vision Evolved was created by Razed Mods and is a “work-in-progress” visual overhaul mod for Grand Theft Auto V.

“Numerous changes were made to the environmental weathers, lighting system, ambient colors, tonemapping, world textures, building models, props, vegetation and much more in order to blur the line between fantasy and reality,” the creator writes.

It is clear that Razed Mods was going for a photorealistic feel here as the screenshots shared to Reddit show Los Santos and its surrounding areas as we have never seen them before.

They could be photographs and with today’s graphics being so detailed, I would not be too shocked if Grand Theft Auto VI looked similar at its highest settings.

User MisunderstoodBadger 1 commented, “This is going for a hyper real look.

GTA VI isn't necessarily going for that. It might look better in some ways.”

It seems as though a large majority of fans are not looking for a photorealistic look for GTA VI but with just one trailer to go by, we are pretty in the dark when it comes to the graphical limits the game will be able to reach.
