
GTA VI isn’t even out yet, and it’s being nominated for awards. Well, the trailer is anyhow, I’m sure the game will sweep many categories next year.
It perhaps comes as no surprise that GTA VI is nominated for two awards at the 2025 Golden Joysticks, and possibly hints to how much of an impact the game will have on the industry next year.
The eventual winner will be voted for by fans, and given the size of the Grand Theft Auto fanbase, it’s likely a certainty to walk away with one, if not both trophies.
The game is up for Best Game Trailer, which, seeing as how the world seemed to stop on release, and the high quality of the visuals and vibes, it’s easily a contender.

Then, GTA VI appears again in the category, Most Wanted Game, which definitely feels like a guarantee, right?

It feels definitive that GTA VI is going to impress on many levels, and the game has a certain aura around it, that paints it as a potential masterpiece - yet another for Rockstar Games.
Both trailers for the game have been impressive, with the second revealing much more about the characters and Vice City.

However, the second trailer was particularly arresting because of how good the visuals are, from the detailed character models, to the vibrant neons of the nightlife.
So much so, that Rockstar Games had to confirm that the game was running on current hardware, reassuring players they’d get the best experience.
GTA VI is up against Battlefield 6, Kingdom Come Deliverance II, and many others in the trailer category.
The Golden Joysticks awards is in its 43rd year, and voting is open now, so if you want to rep GTA VI, you’ve got your chance.
