A fan-made GTA VI map will land way before Rockstar Games launches the title in November 2026.

When the next entry in Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series arrives next year, it will no doubt take social media by storm. I have no doubts that even those not considered to be gamers won’t be able to avoid all the GTA VI hype.

Following tons of leaks and rumours, Rockstar Games finally revealed GTA VI in December 2023 with an intended launch sometime in 2025. However, at around the release of its second trailer, GTA VI was pushed back to May 2026.

Then, recently, GTA VI suffered yet another delay, with it now arriving towards the end of 2026. Since that time, fans have been eagerly awaiting trailer three.

Hopefully, GTA VI won't Get Delayed Again

Those who are familiar with Rockstar Games will know that the company rarely hits its original release dates. That being said, the proof is often in the pudding with the studio taking full advantage of the extra development time.

Hopefully, there’ll be no further delays with GTA VI, but even if that wasn't the case, this fan-made project that looks to accurately predict its huge map with detailed locations will arrive before the highly anticipated Rockstar Games title.

“Inside GTA VI Mapping: The Community Rebuilding the GTA VI Map Before Release,” announced Redditor poorna_sus14, in a lengthy and very detailed post.

“I’ve been wanting to make this post for a while to explain the inner workings of the ‘GTA VI Mapping Discord’ server and the methods the team uses to create such an impressively accurate reconstruction of the GTA VI base map — all before the game has even been released.”

The Custom GTA VI Map Is A Huge Project

The custom map is put together by using details from previous and accurate leaks, as well as information and trailers released by Rockstar Games.

What’s more, real-world locations are also taken into account, such as Miami, the inspiration for Vice City, one of the main locations of GTA VI.

The whole process of creating this map and getting it out before Rockstar Games is very sophisticated, but it’s also worth keeping in mind that it might not be 100% accurate.

At the time of writing, Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Its PC release hasn't been announced yet, but we’re sure it will at some point.
