When it comes to what players are most looking forward to in Grand Theft Auto VI, the answer can vary.
Some want exciting gameplay, others want fully fleshed-out characters and of course, many of us want to see a vast and sprawling open world.
However, for others, they have bigger concerns and they all revolve around Grand Theft Auto’s sex worker community.
We all know that sex workers have become a well-sought after feature of many Grand Theft Auto entries over the years with the player able to pick them up for some company and live out their real-life dreams albeit virtually.

That being said, some players are worried that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI is about to throw a spanner in the works.
For the first time in the Rockstar series history, Grand Theft Auto VI will feature two main protagonists which are seemingly already in a relationship with the pair embarking on a Bonnie and Clyde-esque adventure across Vice City and beyond.
As a result, one fan over on r/GTA6 asked the question that I can assume many others were thinking.
“Will they take away our hardworking ladies of the night?” They enquired.

“With such an emphasis or at the least assumption of the two characters being together and some of the "societal changes" happening in the world as well the changes within Rockstar itself, do you think they will use this as an opportunity to turn over a new page and remove hookers from GTA going forward?”
A hard-hitting question indeed but it seems as though many fans have been asking themselves the same thing.
“No, and event scripts in the leaks suggest you can have either a passive or romantic relationship with each other,” the top comment reads.
“Jason and Lucia likely won’t have to be together if you don’t want them to be.”

As the user explained, this is indeed one feature which has been mentioned in many of the GTA VI leaks but, of course, has not been officially confirmed.
Other players believe that sex workers will still be available but will perhaps cater to both Jason and Lucia rather than just being female.
Another user made a valid point about the original user’s reference to “societal changes”.
“Why would they? Feminism wholeheartedly supports sex work as legitimate work, why would Rockstar ever think it would give them good press to remove them from the game?” They asked.

It remains to be seen if Rockstar will make any changes to how the player interacts with sex workers in Grand Theft Auto VI but if you ask me, things will stay very much the same in the highly anticipated sequel.
