Despite the highly-anticipated game being set to launch in just a year’s time, details surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI remain pretty scarce.

Luckily, a recent discovery has given us a bit more insight into the development of Rockstar’s most anticipated game yet.

Check out our only official Grand Theft Auto VI trailer so far below!

It is hard to believe that it has been over a decade since we last got to experience a brand-new Grand Theft Auto title.

Since then, we have been waiting with bated breath for the arrival of Grand Theft Auto VI and although we don’t yet have a concrete release date, we do know that it is on track for a Fall 2025 launch.

Until then, it is up to internet sleuths to find out more information and that is exactly what they have been doing and this time, it has come to fruition.

Over the past week, GTA VI fans have discovered the LinkedIn profile of a Rockstar developer who has been working on the game for the past four years.

The Principal Engine Programmer’s role at Rockstar is to “oversee the design, development, and optimisation of core engine of Rockstar’s in-house RAGE engine.

Including rendering, physics, AI, and memory management.”

However, fans also focused on a further description which pointed out Rockstar’s work on “procedural generation for objects and game environments”.

Put simply, this will mean that Grand Theft Auto VI can create objects differently each time which will bring a whole lot of realism to the game.

As you can expect, the discovery sparked a conversation over on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours.

However, it seems as though the general consensus was that this news just wasn’t juicy enough.

“Doesn’t tell too much, just standard development tools,” one comment read.

Another said: “This is like reporting that the sky is blue.”
