The GTA VI rumour mill shows no signs of slowing down but we think that you’ll be very pleased with this latest piece of speculation, assuming that it is true, of course.

It’s been over a decade since the last new game in the ever-popular Rockstar Games series was released with GTA V in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Obviously, GTA V has seen ports up to the most recent console generation but in terms of an actual new game, fans have most certainly been waiting patiently.

Check out the GTA VI trailer below!

Thankfully, following years of leaks and rumours, Rockstar Games finally revealed Grand Theft Auto VI to the world with its first official trailer sending social media into a frenzy. Within its first 24 hours, the GTA VI trailer was breaking records and at the time of writing, that very YouTube trailer has over a whopping 176 million views and counting.

As with any leaks and rumours, we should take them with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. Yet, if true, this latest rumour will surely please millions of fans worldwide. One of the best features in the Grand Theft Auto series is its minigames, whether it's gambling at a casino, bowling, or playing golf. It is expected that many of the popular minigames will make a return in GTA VI, but it seems there may at least be one or two new and improved additions.

In a recent batch of rumours, it is claimed that one of the new minigames in Grand Theft Auto VI will be fishing, however, it seems that we might also be treated to 3v3 basketball. As shared in a tweet from ‘GTA 6 Countdown’ a “mysterious Reddit user” posted a ton of alleged GTA VI details in the forum. At this time, these reports are mere hearsay, but with a bit of luck, there is no smoke without fire, as the old saying goes.

So if you’re a fan of the old-school NBA Jam games, this could be very welcomed news indeed. You have been able to play basketball in previous games to a basic level, including GTA V, but hopefully this minigame will be enhanced in the upcoming entry similar to the level of golf, which is my favourite minigame in GTA V.

Grand Theft Auto VI doesn't have a solid release date at the time of writing but we do know that it will be released sometime in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC release is yet to be announced by Rockstar Games.
