GTA 5 'brutal' hidden endings make me glad I never found them

Michael gets turned into a paste by a helicopter blade? Really?

Some extra, much more gruesome deaths for the three protagonists in Grand Theft Auto V have been discovered, and let’s just say I’m glad I never had to see these for myself on any of my playthroughs.

Now, those who've played through Rockstar Games’ GTA V will likely remember that you have three endings to choose from at the end of the game; Choice A (Kill Trevor), Choice B (Kill Michael) and Choice C (Deathwish).

As it turns out, two of these endings were alternatively pretty different - although ultimately ended in the same way. The only real difference is how the protagonists in Choice A or Choice B would die, and oh man did they die in way more gruesome ways the first time around.

Here’s a little bit of context for you first: well over a year ago, the source code for GTA V leaked online.

Ever since then, players have been dissecting the code to discover if it held anything juicy.

One of the things hidden in the code were two new alternate versions of Choice A and Choice B, in which Trevor is killed by being frozen and smashed to death by a giant piece of wood, and Michael is dropped onto a rotating helicopter blade and turned into a paste.

Over on the r/GTA subreddit, fans reacted to the news of the cut death scenes.

“Trevor’s death in the game is better than the cut one but the death for Michael holy s**t it sounds much cooler,” commented user Arrow-2-The-Knee.

“Franklin must’ve watched Jason X before killing Trevor. Brutal AF!!” replied user LeoCaldwell02.

Personally, I’m in agreement with people in the thread saying that the deaths sound a little cheesy, so I’m glad they were cut.

Trevor and Michael’s deaths are a lot better in the actual version of the game, even though anyone who chooses any ending other than Choice C is a psychopath.
