The upcoming release of GTA VI has turned into a bit of a black hole for players, absorbing all the attention while there are actually quite exciting things happening elsewhere if you're willing to look.

That even applies to the current version of GTA V and GTA Online, where Rockstar haven't really slowed down in their update cadence, despite the massive development effort required for the next game's release.

In GTA Online, players recently got to jump into the Safehouse in the Hills update, which brought with it a bunch of high-end missions, luxury vehicles and arguably the nicest player house in the game.

It also introduced a pretty major new storyline that has seemingly intimated that the developer won't be done with releasing new stuff for GTA Online for a while yet, in exciting news for players who can't wait for GTA VI.

Mr Faber Teases More Updates For GTA Online

After completing all of the missions associated with this latest update for GTA Online, players will receive a call from the nefarious Mr Faber, who was first introduced in the Money Fronts update as a dodgy criminal banker.

He reappears again here as part of A Safehouse in the Hills, where he also hints that Rockstar are far from done rolling out updates for the online portion of their game, with more storylines to come.

Over on Twitter/X, YouTuber GTA Assassin shared the following, "Looks like Rockstar Games is not done yet. There is a teaser at the end of the final mission for an upcoming DLC. Mr Faber calls at the end, saying he will be in touch soon. This probably means he is teasing the finale DLC for GTA Online, or it will continue well past GTA VI."

Without straying into spoiler territory, the call players receive at the end from Faber is enough to basically confirm that the story is set to continue in some form, and it may well be beyond the release of GTA VI.

The news will come as a relief to fans, where concern had been building that there may be a bit of a content gap, with major releases for GTA Online ending before they have the chance to get their hands on the next game.

If you haven't played it yet, it is a great time to get back into GTA Online, as it reintroduces major characters from the single-player who have been out in the cold for more than a decade.
