Today welcomed the long awaited release of Grand Theft Auto Online’s latest DLC and with a familiar face making a return, this may just hint at the further return of an iconic character in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Titled ‘A Safehouse in the Hills’, the brand-new DLC arriving to Grand Theft Auto Online will allow players to become real estate moguls by purchasing their first ever mega mansion.
Expected to cost millions of GTA dollars, owning a mansion will truly set you apart from the rest of Los Santos’ residents, especially with each one featuring gyms, swimming pools, hot tubs, and even the opportunity to purchase your own pet.
However, perhaps most excitingly, players have been treated to the return of a familiar face as Grand Theft Auto V’s Michael De Santa makes a cameo in ‘A Safehouse in the Hills’.

Returning alongside wife Amanda (Who knew they would still be together?), a much-greyer Michael introduces the character to the mansion lifestyle and with Ned Luke returning to the role, it feels nostalgic to say the least, especially as it has been well over a decade since we first met him.
Now that the update has gone live on Grand Theft Auto Online, players have been reporting all of the new features that Rockstar has been busy adding and with this DLC expected to be bigger than ever, we are eager to see any Easter eggs.

And the Familiar Guest Is...
Reported by the Rockstar Universe Twitter account, an interesting tidbit can be heard when players first meet Michael and Amanda.
During the introduction cutscene, Amanda can be heard saying, “And our son is finally moving away from home.”
Grand Theft Auto V fans will know that she is, of course, referring to Jimmy, Michael and Amanda’s son who we often run into throughout the story.
During the events of the game, he can be found at home, playing video games, smoking weed and being all-out lazy despite Michael’s desperate attempts to shift him.
Now it seems as though Jimmy is finally making the move but could this mean that he could appear in Grand Theft Auto VI? Maybe he has moved from Los Santos to Vice City, for example.
Of course, this is mere speculation but Rockstar is no stranger to bringing back familiar faces in its games and Amanda’s comment would make the perfect segue into this.
With Grand Theft Auto VI finally expected to be released on 19 November 2026, there is just under a year to go until we find out if Jimmy is coming along for the ride with us.
