GTA 5 fans praise surprise free DLC you can download now

GTA Online delivers once more

GTA V fans are pleasantly surprised with its latest free DLC event that’s available to play right now in GTA Online.

Say what you will about GTA Online, it’s regularly supported with a constant plethora of free events granting players new missions, DLC and bonus incentives, enticing its fan base for more online Grand Theft Auto shenanigans.

For years, GTA Online players have been eating well with the free content released by Rockstar Games, so much so that Red Dead Online players have understandably looked on with envy.

That being said, it’s a shame that it feels like Red Dead Redemption 2’s online offering has been kicked to the curb in favour of its bigger and more successful sibling.

The latest event is now live in GTA Online with ‘Money Fronts’, which ends on 16 July 2025, and it’s fair to say, this is one of the most meaty free updates in a while for the game.

“From the frenzied clubs of Tony Prince to El Rubio’s narcotrafficking empire, the power of Epsilon to the gold-tinted hijinks of Yusuf Amir — they’re all sustained by one thing: dirty, filthy money. And you’ve just been summoned by the man who oversees it all,” reads the synopsis of ‘Money Fronts’.

“The head of San Andreas’ biggest money laundering network of shadowy financiers — the elusive Mr. Faber — has heard about you. And with the help of Martin Madrazo and Faber's fashionable fixer, Raf De Angelis, it's time for you two to form a mutually beneficial connection.”

Fans of the Grand Theft Auto series have been expressing their delight at the latest GTA Online content update.

“Another adventure in Los Santos, the end is approaching in this incredible city, but the illusion remains as the first day,” wrote Twitter user Kifflom. “Good update. Thanks!”

“Dirty cash, I want you dirty cash, I need you,” sang TheGTABase.

“Loving the update so far and the money for time spent seems pretty fair,” said SlayTheStupid.

“LET'S F GOOOO,” yelled Yoblapyo.

GTA V and GTA Online are out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. As for Grand Theft Auto VI, it’s currently scheduled to be released on 26 May 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
