Ghost Of Yōtei Players Don't Have Long To Claim This Exclusive Freebie

Ghost Of Yotei is out now and for the most part players are loving it, from its combat, to its open-world to its interactive foxes.

As a sequel to Ghost Of Tsushima the game had some big shoes to fill but judging from the reviews and player feedback it seemingly filled them.

The game follows a new protagonist, Atsu, on a quest for vengeance against the Yōtei Six who murdered her family and spread out across the land.

It’s got the same open-world exploration fans loved from the first game and enhanced combat with new weapons and tools, and it’s very good.

To celebrate the game’s launch Discord users have some exclusive freebies they can claim, only for a limited time though.

If you log on you’ll likely find a pop-up for a Ghost Of Yōtei Quest, that requires the account owner to watch a short video regarding the game for a Atsu Mask Avatar Decoration. These decorations simply spruce up your profile a bit and give it a distinct look that other Discord users can see. They’re not permanent though, and in the case of this Ghost Of Yōtei freebie it’ll only be around for two months.

Nevertheless it’s a cool freebie to have and one fans of the game will surely want to claim, especially as it’s a limited-time offer.

If you want more you’re in luck as PlayStation is offering you merch for getting Platinum Trophies. This is through the newly announced Franchise Rewards program, which is presumably the company’s replacement for the recently discontinued PlayStation Stars.

The first game to get the Franchise Rewards treatment is Ghost Of Tsushima, with an exclusive tshirt and badge on offer for those who’ve earned the right trophies. These aren’t freebies unfortunately, earning the trophies simply gives you early-access to purchase them. It’s sort of a nice idea though and if Ghost If Tsushima has been given the opportunity it’s only likely that Ghost Of Yōtei will follow at some point.

For those that want something for Ghost Of Yōtei now I’m afraid there’s nothing to speak of, but DLC for the game has already been confirmed with an expansion titled Ghost of Yōtei Legends.

This expansion will be free for everyone who owns the game and will deliver two-player story missions and four-player survival matches.
