Treat A 'Skyrim' Fan This Christmas With A Life-Sized Dovahkiin Statue

Own a little slice of history.

What do you get a Skyrim fan for Christmas? You can't get them The Elder Scrolls VI, because it's nowhere close to being released. You can't get them a pet dragon either, because we all know they went extinct billions of years ago. You could them another copy of Skyrim for one of the thousand things it's been ported to since 2011, but that isn't very imaginative.

How about a life-sized statue of the Dovahkiin himself? Provided you've got somewhere to put such a beast, this lovingly-crafted replica of Skyrim's cover star and mascot would be a perfect, if unconventional, gift. Check it out below, or via the eBay page where it's currently up for sale.

According to the item's description, the statue used to live in a GameStop store before being retired. It stands at over 6 feet tall, and can be disassembled to make moving slightly easier - though the seller does suggest that the buyer will need to come by in a truck to pick it up themselves.

Unfortunately, that probably rules out the chance of the seller being willing to ship the statue over to the UK, which is a shame. Then again, shipping something like this overseas would likely cost an arm and a leg. And by that I mean you'd literally have to leave one arm and one leg in the US, because sending the whole statue would be way too pricey.

The fact it's unlikely to leave the US is probably for the best, since the statue is unsurprisingly quite expensive. I mean, I love my friends and family, but I don't love anyone enough to spend $2,200. Hell, I wouldn't even spend that much money on me. But I do dislike myself fairly intensely, so that tracks.

The good news is that you could instead spend $92 a month for 24 months to pay it off, but um... I don't know many people who'd want to be locked into such a pricey investment for two years. Maybe for a car or a phone or a laptop, but not for an old promotional object that used to live in a store.

If you do decide to take the plunge and grab this big boy for a loved one (or yourself) this Christmas, just make sure you have some idea of where it's going to live. I can't imagine any guests would want to use your bathroom with a life-sized Dovahkiin stood over them as they evacuated their bowels. Or maybe they would. I'm not here to judge.
