'Sonic The Hedgehog 2' Early Reviews Are Hugely Positive

The first reactions for Sonic The Hedgehog 2 have started to roll in, and it seems the unlikely sequel has managed to improve on its predecessor in every way.

Few could have predicted that 2020's Sonic The Hedgehog would have been the success it was, especially after the controversy surrounding the titular character's horrific design and subsequent redesign. And yet, the blue blur's big screen debut was a colourful, lighthearted explosion of fun that offered a good game for parents and kids alike. It certainly wasn't Citizen Kane, but it did enough to warrant a sequel.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 looks set to dial up the fan service a few more notches, introducing characters like Knuckles and Tails, and giving Jim Carrey's Robotnik a look much closer to the video games. Whether this alienates the more casual viewers remains to be seen, but a wave of early reactions suggest this is a sequel with lots to love.

It's worth noting that early reactions always tend to lean a little more towards the positive by their very nature, and you should definitely wait for the final reviews to drop if you're unsure about this one.
