Good things come to those who wait, and sure enough Adult Swim has finally confirmed when we can expect to see the next run of Rick And Morty episodes. The anarchic sci-fi show will return for its fifth season in late June.

You can check out the brand new trailer for Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland's new season below. It doesn't give all that much away, but expect more adventures with Rick, Morty, Summer, Beth, and, unfortunately, Jerry.

"Now you can start asking us about season 6," Adult Swim joked. "Rick and Morty returns for season 5 on Sunday, June 20 at 11pm ET/PT." No word yet on exactly when we'll be able to watch it here in the UK, but the last series was broadcast by Channel 4, so look for new episodes there.

Rick And Morty fans have been starved for new content since last year, so Adult Swim is going all-in on the show's long-awaited return. June 20 has been declared Rick and Morty Day, which will involve an "out-of-this-world celebration with sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes footage and special surprises across TV, digital and social."

After the first handful of seasons were phenomenally received by fans and critics alike, the show was renewed for an incredible 70 episodes back in May 2018. Ten of those aired as season four, which was broken up in two parts across 2019 and 2020. No doubt fans are hoping for answers to all manner of questions, including the mystery of the talking cat and evil Morty. I'd also like to see Sleepy Gary make a return, if possible. Love that guy. Of course, after four seasons of Rick And Morty, I know better than to expect the expected.
