PlayStation Now Seemingly Adding Huge Titles To Rival Game Pass

PlayStation Now Seemingly Adding Huge Titles To Rival Game Pass

PlayStation might have the exclusives, but Xbox has the value-for-money.

We can say, fairly confidently, that Xbox Game Pass is the best value-for-money deal in gaming at the moment. Microsoft has knocked the service out of the park with a huge variety of games for a very low price, that are playable on a variety of platforms and that appeals to all sorts of gamers. Although PlayStation certainly has an edge with its exclusives, like Returnal and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, it has fallen a little behind in the subscription service category. But that might be about to change.

A Reddit post spotted by Push Square shows that Facebook might have accidentally put an advert for an upcoming PlayStation Now announcement live early. The PlayStation Now subreddit saw screenshots and even a screen-recording of an advert promoting six games coming to the service. And honestly, the offer seems impressive.

There have already been some phenomenal exclusive games released for the PlayStation 5, some of which made it to our best games of 2021 so far list...

According to the leaked images, Red Dead Redemption 2, Team Sonic Racing, Nioh 2, God of War (2018), Judgment, and Moving Out are all coming to the service sometime soon. It isn't clear when they could be coming to Now, but the advert seems like it was intended for when the games were already available on the subscription. So, they could be making an appearance very soon

It feels likely that once PlayStation has its much-rumoured showcase later this month, these games will come to PlayStation Now. The company didn't attend E3 this year, stepping away to announce projects and reveal gameplay in its own time. Some have been saying that we're due a showcase announcement any day now, as fans wait to finally see gameplay of God of War 2: Ragnarok and further details for Horizon Forbidden West. Hopefully, this advert for PlayStation Now is a taste of the content we'll see when Sony decides to chat to its fans, and maybe it's a sign of the future potential of Sony services, as it ups its subscription appeal to rival Xbox Game Pass.
