A new Colombian Netflix series has been accused by fans of copying some of the iconic art from Grand Theft Auto V loading screens in its opening credits sequence.
As reported by Dexerto, The Snitch Cartel: Origins hit Netflix earlier this summer, but Grand Theft Auto fans over on Reddit have only just started to notice that there are some "suspiciously similar" images in the show's opening moments.
First, take a look at the show's opening credits below. It's clear that most of the images have been inspired by the GTA V artwork, but a couple of them look as if they've been completely copied.
The aforementioned Reddit thread has already provided a rundown of the worst offenders, and you can see how they stack up to the GTA V artwork below. It certainly doesn't look great. The two armed men by the van at around the 24 second mark in the above video is perhaps the most egregious example. As a couple of users pointed out, the two pictures are almost identical right down the creasing on the character's boiler suit.

"As a designer, there are a few immediate things you look for in these sorts of situations to see just how much of the design was stolen from something else," wrote one Reddit user. "More often than not, a designer will copy the form of something EXACTLY because they perceive it to be perfect.
"You can tell based off the folds of their clothing that they were taken verbatim; look at the similarities on the leather jackets, most note-ably the shapes between the inside of the arm and the edge of the jacket by the waist. The curves and cuts are almost exactly the same, almost as if someone took a piece of parchment paper and traced over the top of the original image."

A number of fans are calling on Rockstar to take legal action, but the company has yet to respond to these findings.
