Mum And Daughter Celebrate First Ever 'Warzone' Duos Win In Heartwarming Clip

"That's you and me baby!"

Ah, that first win in Call Of Duty: Warzone. You never quite forget it, do you? Well, I haven't at least, but that's probably because I could count my total number of Warzone wins on one hand. Still, that feeling of adrenaline as your shaky hands put down the controller and your victory sinks in... if I could bottle that feeling, I don't think I'd ever let it go.

That's why it's always so heartening to see others react to their first wins. That pure joy, mixed with a tiny bit of shock and a good dollop of well-earned smugness is a delight to see in anyone. That's why I was so happy, on this grey and drizzly Friday, to see a Reddit clip of a parent and her daughter get their very first Duos win in the battle royale.

Redditor i_x_Valkyrie_x_i achieved that rarest of things when she uploaded the clip of her first win with her mum: She cut through all the negativity and complaining that usually pervades the Warzone subreddit to engender a genuinely positive response. This link is literally a gateway to a clip of two people being happy about something good, and heaps of encouragement from viewers who are happy they're happy. It's bloody wonderful to see.

In response to one user who asked how badly her hands were shaking by the end of the game, Valkyrie explained that it was pretty damn intense.

"We were moving with the gas, taking guys out, or trying to, and then my mom got downed as we were chasing a guy and I didn't realize he was the last one," she wrote. "I killed him and was expecting to get sniped or something and suddenly we won! We had to take a breather after to let the adrenaline die down."

Valkyrie also believes that she's able to play more with her mum now as Call Of Duty is way less toxic than it used to be. "When I was playing Call Of Duty as a teenager ten years ago or so on the 360, it was a really toxic place," she explained. "Mom and I usually didn't make it through a play session without some asshole harassing us- it's SO much better now. I almost never run into harassment anymore, it's like a different world."

While there are certainly still huge problems with the Call Of Duty community - and the toxicity in online gaming as a whole - it's awesome to hear that Valkyrie is having a better time now than she used to.
