Call Of Duty: Warzone will soon be getting a major new area to explore, according to a recent leak. The Call Of Duty League recently dropped a strong hint that the battle royale will introduce a system of underground Subway tunnels, allowing players to creep through Verdansk without worrying about being crushed by a chopper... At least until the inevitable moment one player manages to squeeze a helicopter into the tunnels, anyway.
As shared by Twitter user and YouTuber Geeky Pastimes, the League's special congratulatory message to the Dallas Empire contained an image of the Verdansk map with one or two additions that don't currently exist in the game. As you can see below, the bottom left of the map has a Subway station that definitely isn't in the battle royale at the time of writing.
This strange new building lines up with another previously-leaked map of Verdansk which showed off various metro stations dotted around the city. These earlier leaks suggest that there'll be seven subway stations in total, and that players will be able to use them to get across the map much more quickly.

The consensus seems to be that this new mode of transportation will be added in Season 6, which is expected to land in late September/early October, depending on whether or not the world continues to be an unpredictable garbage fire.
Call Of Duty: Warzone has seen a number of substantial changes over the last few weeks. Season 5 saw players finally gain access to Verdansk Stadium, which contained all manner of new secrets to uncover. A loot train has also started thundering across the map, offering players new strategies to try out as they attempt to hold the train as a unique (and armoured) vantage point.
It's not entirely clear how this new subway system would work, or even what waits below the surface of Verdansk for players. But with Black Ops Cold War mere months away from release, I'd expect that Infinity Ward and Activision is planning to hide plenty more teasers and Easter eggs down in the underground for players to discover.
