The moment you've all (presumably) been waiting for is here. EA Sports has finally announced FIFA 20's Team Of The Year, naming the best 11 players from the past 12 months of football. For the first time ever, fans were able to choose the ultimate ten themselves in an online vote, from a list of 55 players who "lit up the world of football in 2019".

As you can see for yourself from the reveal trailer below, the final FIFA 20 TOTY squad has some pretty notable omissions. The likes of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino both missed the cut, as did five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. Some have also criticised the failure to include Robert Lewandowski, despite his scoring more goals than anyone else the previous calendar year.

Still, this has been voted on by the FIFA 20 community, so I guess we can't complain too much. The good news is that it's still been an absolutely huge year for Salah's teammates. No less than five of the starting 11 are all Liverpool players, underlining an incredible 2019 for the squad.

Defenders Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are joined by Alisson Becker in goal. Rounding out the Liverpool TOTY representatives is Sadio Mane, who forms a strong front three alongside Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe.

Joining the Liverpool players in defence is Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt. The midfield three, meanwhile, is made up of Barcelona youngster Frenkie de Jong, Chelsea's N'Golo Kante, and Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne. That's seven players in total from the Premier League represented. Not too shabby, eh?

De Jong and De Ligt of course, had both played for the Ajax team which reached the Champions League semifinals as well as a domestic league and cup double last year. You can see the final rundown of players in the tweet below.

You'll be able to grab the upgraded cards for the 11 players starting today. Rumours are also circulating of a 12th, player voted card, but these reports are currently unconfirmed. Let us know your thoughts on the lineup, as well as who you're hoping to nab first on Facebook and Twitter.
