DC and Warner Bros. have announced an impressive cast for the upcoming adaptation of Injustice: Gods Among Us.
The new animated movie takes its inspiration from the brutal NetherRealm fighting game of the same name, in which Superman has opted to use his considerable power to rule the world with an iron fist by... establishing a fascistic police state overseen by other former heroes who have fallen in line with the Man Of Steel. Yikes.
It's a real who's who of DC heroes and villains, with everyone from Batman and Joker to Doomsday and Sinestro showing up at one point or another.

DC didn't mess about when it came to the casting news, and essentially dropped every single hero and villain along with who'll be playing them in one go. Let's start with the big names, shall we? Justin Harley (Smallville) will be playing Superman, while Anson Mount (Hell On Wheels) plays Batman. Meanwhile, The Last Of Us Part II star Laura Bailey will play Lois Lane and Rama Kushna, and Gillian Jacobs (Community) is playing Harley Quinn.
Ready for the rest? Deep breath, now: Injustice will also star Zach Callison as Damian Wayne and Jimmy Olsen, Brian T. Delaney as Green Lantern, Brandon Michael Hall as Cyborg, Edwin Hodge as Mr. Terrific and Killer Croc, Oliver Hudson as Plastic Man. Not bad. We'll also be seeing/hearing Yuri Lowenthal as Mirror Master, Flash and Shazam, Derek Phillips as Nightwing and Aquaman, Kevin Pollak as Joker and Jonathan Kent, Anika Noni Rose as Catwoman, Reid Scott as Green Arrow and Victor Zsasz, Faran Tahir as Ra's al Ghul, Fred Tatasciore as Captain Atom, Janet Varney as Wonder Woman, and Andrew Morgado as Mirror Master Soldier. Phew.

Injustice doesn't have a release date yet, but it's expected to get a home release at some point over "Fall 2021". Or as we like to call it, autumn.
