Go back to bed.

Cyberpunk 2077 is just two days away from releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and it's safe to say we're all very excited. The good news is players can already preload on all platforms, getting a jump on the hefty install and ensuring that the adventure is ready to go on December 10th.

Of course this doesn't mean you'll actually be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 early, as your copy of the game won't actually unlock until it's supposed to. But that doesn't mean you can't at least attempt to sneak a peek - something that a few gamers have already tried to do, with hilarious results.

See, it turns out that you can press play as soon as the game is downloaded, which might trick some people into thinking they've somehow slipped through the net and can begin their journey in Night City. This is not the case, however, as the only thing you'll be met with if you try to play the game before December 10th is a telling-off from Johnny Silverhand - AKA Keanu Reeves himself.

As documented by Reddit user stevenkoalae in the screenshot above, instead of starting the game as you'd expect, you're simply met with a screen and a quick message from Silverhand. The rocker tells you to go back to sleep as it's not December 10th, which isn't that punk of him when you think about it. Then again, the game was technically supposed to be out a month ago, so I guess it is kind of punk after all?

Either way, this is a pretty neat touch on the part of CD Projekt RED, and one last tantalising teaser for a game so many of us have waited years to play. The end is in sight, my friends. Maybe we should all just do what Silverhand says and go back to sleep until December 10th. It's only two days. I'd probably feel quite refreshed afterwards.
