First Details Of 'Call Of Duty: Vanguard' Zombies Mode Emerge

Call of Duty: Vanguard is on its way in November, and as you might expect, a whole chunk of its content has been leaked through its recent beta tests.
The beta itself has been subject to some criticism from fans, with a handful of the skilled players manipulating the skill-based matchmaking system to compete with lower-level players. Not only is this a worrying indictment of the state of the beta, there was also the design decision by Sledgehammer Games to cause distortion on the screen when firing certain weapons.
Fortunately, the developer has been keeping track of players' experiences and rolling out updates accordingly. While this is heartening, a couple of fans have had their noses to the grindstone dredging the beta for all of the upcoming content in Vanguard.

First things first, the campaign is split into nine missions, though there could be more that the dataminers don't have access to at the moment. With titles like 'The Rats of Tobruk' and 'Operation Tonga', these sound like they will be historical recreations of real operations during World War II.
Six new Operators have been found, too, as well as possible remakes of maps from World At War and Modern Warfare 3. And, the Zombies content will feature a map named 'War of The Dead', including returning mechanics from Cold War like the armour, crafting and pack-a-punch.
However, Perks are now known as 'Demonic Fountains' and Field Upgrades seem to be now called 'Artifacts'. The latter will cover 'Aether Shroud', 'Energy Mine', 'Ring of Fire' and 'Frost Blast'. A new discovery is Covenants, which sound like a mission or objective that players may "equip" before the game begins.
Moreover, TheMW2Ghost claims that Zombies will be present from launch and will be a round-based mix of Outbreak and Onslaught. Interestingly, Season 1 is scheduled for November 23rd, about two weeks after the game comes out. Of course, we'll have to wait and see if they're on the money, but this leaker does have a reliable record.
In an interview with VentureBeat, it appears that Sledgehammer Games is considering other options aside from cyclic Call Of Duty development. "Clearly we're also thinking about what comes next," said studio head Aaron Halon. "The biggest thing for our team is that we want to constantly have interesting, exciting projects to work on. Obviously, Call of Duty is a huge pillar in the studio. It's our primary focus, what we're fully invested in right now."
"Whether there are other things in the future that we look at as well, we'll take the time to think about all of those things. Culturally, we do that as well. We take the time to breathe occasionally and think about where we want to go," he concluded.
