Sony is giving away free PlayStation 5 consoles right now

Sony is giving away free PlayStation 5 (disc version) consoles right now with an additional copy of Horizon Forbidden West.

As reported by Press Start, featured on the Sony Store website, PlayStation 5 and Horizon Forbidden West bundles are being given away with purchases of select Sony 4K TVs at no extra cost. The deal also includes free shipping with orders over $200 and is limited to one per customer.

So if you’re after a swanky PS5 and a glorious Sony 4K TV, now could be the perfect time to pick them up. The selected 4K TV sets which are part of the free PlayStation 5 and Horizon Forbidden West bundles are:

55” A80K OLED TV ($3,299)

65” X90K LCD TV ($2,999)

65” A80K OLED TV ($3,999)

The deal only runs until tomorrow 10 March at 11:59pm AEDT/12:59am UK/04:59 PT. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that this deal is only applicable to the Austrian Sony Stone. Hopefully, an equivalent deal will be made worldwide.

Sony will no doubt be hoping that this 4K TV and PS5 bundle deal will further strengthen its place as the leading new-gen console seller on the market. At the time of writing, PS5 sales are said to be double compared to Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S.

In related PlayStation 5 news, documents were recently made public which suggested that the PS6 will release after 2027. This was a result of the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in response to Microsoft’s pending acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

What’s more, following its beta phase, the latest firmware update for the PlayStation 5 recently went live and it finally introduced Discord integration. Discord chat on PS5 has been a long-requested feature for fans as it easily enables cross-chat from crossplay games such as Fortnite, Warzone 2.0 and more.
