From soldiers to honey badgers, nowhere is safe but this free mod for Far Cry 3 is about to add a whole other enemy for you to battle with.
Aptly named Dead Cry, the mod by GCVos on Nexus Mods is a total conversion single player campaign for the Far Cry 3 Map Editor.
Consisting of 10-12 single player missions inspired by horror titles such as Left 4 Dead, the featured levels were built from the ground up using assets from the third entry in the much-loved FPS title.
Not only that but Dead Cry also includes new special weapons, a graphical overhaul and a completely disabled HUD which will challenge even the most seasoned players.
“DEAD CRY will not merely be a bunch of maps or a mod alone. It's as close to a completely new game as you can get,” the creator says.
“The campaign will include an immersive soundtrack, cinematic cutscenes, custom sound effects and voiceover work.”
From cinematic cutscenes to a unique storyline, Dead Cry includes all-new features to get stuck into.
As you battle with the undead, you can use the destructible environment to your advantage as you fight across linear and non-linear level design.
Accompanied by an exclusive soundtrack and custom noise and sound effects, Far Cry 3 is about to become the horror game you never even knew you needed.
