Fallout Players Impressed and Confused by Random Open-World Encounter

How could we miss this delightful chap?

The post-apocalyptic world of Fallout is home to all manner of oddities, Easter eggs, strange encounters, and outright bizarre occurrences.

However, it begs the question as to how much we have missed in our personal playthroughs.

Well, according to one Reddit user in a recent post, there is one Fallout 76 encounter that some fans have seen more than their own family whilst others have never laid eyes on.

First released back in 2018, Fallout 76 has had quite the journey as Bethesda’s first dive into the multiplayer Fallout world.

When it first launched, players criticised its very empty open-world and lack of content. However, thanks to countless updates, events, and patches, Fallout 76 is thriving seven years on from release.

That is why it is especially hard to tell when new random encounters are added to the game as there are so many new content patches.

This has lead to players asking, “since when is this a thing?” over on r/Fallout.

The ‘this’ in question is a lemonade stand that was spotted by user lucaZERO0 during their Fallout 76 adventures.

Unceremoniously placed in the middle of the road, the unassuming lemonade stand is complete with blue and yellow balloons and its very own bot known as Mr Squeeze acting as the seller.

“I do hope Master Jimmy returns soon with more lemons!” He announces as you approach. “We’ve gotten a few… complaints with the new formula.”

With lemons probably quite scarce in the post-apocalyptic wasteland, we can only imagine what this ‘new formula’ contains but it seems as though this encounter as a whole is very random.

“It’s been in the game as a random encounter since the Brewing Station was added. It sells you a recipe for both lemonade and hard lemonade. So… a long time,” the top comment reads.

The Brewing Station was added to Fallout 76 in the Wild Appalachia update back in 2019 so it has indeed been in the game for quite some time.

However, according to user GunsBlazing777, they are still yet to see it.

“I've got 1800 hours into 76 and have never seen it,” they shared.

User NibelWolf agreed, adding, “Yeah, I am over 1k and never seen it either.”

It just goes to show how much detail is hidden within Fallout 76 courtesy of the masters at Bethesda.

So next time you are exploring the wastelands, make sure you keep an eye out for Mr Squeeze.
