Fallout: New Vegas is considered by many to be a far superior RPG when compared to Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. Obsidian’s 2010 adventure is undoubtedly smaller in scale than Bethesda’s main entries, but it’s also a leaner and altogether more focused adventure - one that trims the fat and leaves nothing behind but a quality story and a densely packed open world.
While we’ve yet to officially return to the Mojave Wasteland, there are countless fan mods that imagine the game’s world in new and exciting ways. The latest is an ambitious crossover that imagines what was going on in the world of New Vegas during the events of Fallout 4.
Fallout: Project Mojave takes place six years after the original New Vegas, allowing players to explore the deadly Mojave Wasteland in the year 2287. The desert and its many residents have all been recreated using Fallout 4’s engine, though the places and people you remember might well have changed over the years.

Project Mojave is currently available via early access over on Nexus Mods, and there’s already a lot to explore. Right now, the entire lower half of the map is available, offering a fascinating insight into how many of the locations and characters have held up since the events of New Vegas. I have to say, it’s a properly excellent idea.
As it stands, Project Mojave already boasts a ton of impressive features. There’s a full remake of the New Vegas Strip, new weapons, over 800 remade assets, three player homes, new outfits, and so much more.
