Fallout 76 fans can download a brand-new content update ahead of Season 14.

Despite its rocky launch, Bethesda’s attempt at a multiplayer Fallout game, Fallout 76, has managed to claw its way back from obscurity thanks to several content and quality-of-life updates.

Check out the trailer for Fallout 76 below.

The latest season, called Season 14: Fight for Freedom, has officially launched with the 1.0.85 patch, which went live for PC, Xbox and PlayStation users yesterday. It brings a wide range of new content, fixes, and gameplay balances to the game, such as the new character perks, Arms Keeper and Stable Tools, reduced weight for rifles so you can carry more junk, new Presidential Power Armour, and a brand-new character.

The new character is ally Grandma Junko, who’s apparently looking for her missing grandchildren but can’t quite remember due to her age affecting her memory. She’ll hang around your camp and cook some delicious recipes to help you out on your travels through the wastelands.

Speaking of camp, the new update gives the player quality-of-life tools to make grinding a bit easier. The Autominer Collectron can now be stationed at your camp, and will automatically mine and collect ore, an essential collectable used in crafting.

Several bug fixes were also introduced, fixing some of the game’s more frustrating problems reported by players, though the game runs perfectly compared to its initial launch, which featured bugs and glitches in their hundreds.

The game’s difficulty has also been balanced thanks to some health and damage tweaks for enemies, as well as more healing items and ammunition boxes in some of the game’s more popular areas. The dreaded Legendary Creatures have also had a health buff, but will no longer regenerate health, making them slightly easier to take down.

Players on Xbox, PlayStation and PC can download the new update right now for free.
