We don’t know when Fallout 5 will be released, however, some fans believe they have the perfect suggestion for where it should be set, but could it live up to the hype?

The Fallout series is one of the most popular properties for Bethesda, alongside the likes of The Elder Scrolls. Yet much like The Elder Scrolls VI, Fallout 5 doesn't have a release date.

All we know for sure is that Fallout 5 will happen. After all, it’s been confirmed by Bethesda head honcho Todd Howard. But other than that, that’s all we know and the rest is pure speculation at this point.

It might be safe to assume that Fallout 5 could very likely skip the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S to be a next-gen title. What’s more, it's The Elder Scrolls VI that will be released first.

That being said, fans on Reddit have been discussing where Fallout 5 should be set.

“New York,” Reddit user BayleefMaster123 suggested.

“It would need a new traversal system, like a grappling hook or something. Trekking through and up buildings isn’t boring, but it might get boring after the fourth or fifth time,” added SandwichLord57.

“I think upstate would be perfect, though, with the city as a constant glowing horizon,” explained Prudent_Spray_5346.

“The Adirondack wilderness is beautiful, and there is a ton of history in Kingston and the Albany/Troy area. West Point would be fun to explore, and the rail line/Hudson River could be used for some sort of fast (ish) travel.”

“I’m glad this comment is near the top, as the tech today couldn’t do New York justice,” exclaimed fucuasshole2. Could it in a few years time though? Perhaps!

When Bethesda decides to drop new information on the progress of Fallout 5, we’ll be sure to update you right away.
