Forget Fallout 5, there are two new Fallout releases dropping this month that you can download and play.

If you've been watching the new Amazon Prime Fallout series, you'll know it's absolutely fantastic. I'd also wager it's left you with a hankering to play some more Fallout. Am I right? I bet I'm right.

The good news is that you'll have two very different opportunities to scratch that Fallout itch this month. Oh, and they're both free!

The first of these new Fallout experiences is one you may well have heard of by now. Arriving 23 April is Fallout: London, a brand-new Fallout adventure from a dedicated team of modders. It is essentially a whole new game that's so impressive, Bethesda went and hired most of the volunteers working on it.

"As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America," the team explains. "Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain."

The game's original map will allow you to explore 15 London boroughs as you experience an entirely original story. There are also hundreds of new weapons, armour sets, enemies, buildings, side quests, characters, and secrets.

If that doesn't appeal, or if you simply won't be able to play it because you don't game on a PC, we still have something for you.

On 25 April, the long-awaited new-gen update for Fallout 4 will be available to download on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.

This shiny new update will, among other things, give Fallout 4 a bit of a performance boost, make some fixes, and polish up the visuals a little. You can also expect a little bit of new content to keep you happy.

So there you are. Who needs Fallout 5 which so much going on?
