Fallout 4 gets huge new fan expansion you can download now

Please stop releasing these guys, my load order is about to buckle under the weight of other 1,000 incredible mods

Another day, another huge expansion-sized mod for Bethesda’s Fallout 4. This is seriously starting to get out of hand guys, my hard drive isn’t big enough to fit all of these 10/10 banger mod files on it at this point.

The mod in question is called Let Down City, a cyberpunk-themed expansion that sort of just serves as a whole new location, complete with a new companion, four new settlements, and several new pieces of weapons and armour.

Credit to John Papadopoulos over at Dark Side of Gaming for bringing this one to my attention, because unfortunately, most people will likely never actually stumble across this mod on Nexus for a specific reason I’ll get into shortly.

A few things before you potentially jump into Let Down City.

Firstly, this mod only works with the Fallout 4 expansion Fallout: London. If you try to install this without Fallout: London installed, the base Fallout 4 game probably won’t even boot as several assets won’t be available.

Secondly, the funky VHS-style filter isn’t actually present in the mod file for Let Down City. That is included in a separate download from the same mod author called “WitherAwayVision”.

And finally, you might have wondered why I haven’t actually linked the Nexus page for Let Down City yet. Well, that’s because (for some reason that I can’t quite discern) the mod is actually age-restricted so I wanted to give you a little heads-up beforehand.

Here’s the Nexus page for the mod from WitherAwayyy, but you’ll have to make an account and allow age-restricted context before you can view and download it.

Alternatively, if you don’t fancy making a Nexus account or you don’t want to risk turning the x-rated filter off at this current point in time, WitherAwayyy has uploaded a trailer for Let Down City to YouTube.

I’ve browsed through the entire page and all of the associated images, and I really can’t figure out why it’s been slapped with an 18+ rating - unless there’s something in the mod itself that isn’t listed in its description.

It could also be because, as one commenter pointed out, Let Down City contains music from other games (which is of course not copyright-free). Not sure if that caused the adult-only rating, but maybe don’t play this mod in the office just in case.
