An upcoming open-world RPG that looks like a mix of Grand Theft Auto and Cyberpunk 2077 has received a new trailer.
Exekiller, which combines the futuristic visuals of Cyberpunk 2077 with the open-world driving and action of the GTA games received a new trailer at the New Game Plus showcase earlier this week.
The new three-minute trailer shows off some of Exekiller’s gameplay, which has been described as a “retro futuristic western game” set in a post-apocalyptic world.
The trailer packs in gameplay footage featuring driving, exploration, combat, hacking, and other features that will be included in the full game. All-in-all, it’s looking incredible for an indie game.

Take a look at the trailer for yourself below if you’d like to see more of the game in action. However, be aware that developer Paradark Studio still claims the game is a “work in progress”, so some details may be subject to change.
Exekiller's New Gameplay Trailer Shows Off Driving, Hacking And Combat
Exekiller is set in a post apocalyptic world with a semi-open hub environment that gradually opens up. When you complete main quests, the state of the world changes, allowing you to access new areas, find more weapons, and unlock quests to do.

The world has been described as “unique”, combining futuristic technology with post-apocalyptic scenery. In addition to that, Exekiller is also a western. So expect warm orange and brown colour palettes, along with revolvers, dusters, and big hats to complete the experience.
Exekiller’s narrative is linear, but has non-linear choices as you choose your own path through the story. Paradark has described choices that include whether to spare lives or end them, cheat or obey the law, loot money or return it intact, with each of these decisions affecting your path up to the end of the game.
This also includes a dynamic dialogue system where you retain full freedom of movement and action while conversations continue, meaning you can engage in dialogue with another character while driving or shooting.
As for character development, there aren’t any experience points or levelling up in Exekiller, with your progression instead coming from your choice of mods, your augments, and the tech implemented in your weapons.

Exekiller doesn’t have a release date yet. On the Steam store page, it simply says “To Be Announced”, so we’ll hang tight and wait for Paradark to announce a release date for the game.
