Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree gets major price slash ahead of release

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree gets major price slash ahead of release

Some Elden Ring players can get the DLC cheaper

Elden Ring fans are eating well at the moment. We’re nearing the release date for the game’s only DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, and everyone is understandably excited.

We’ve seen both a gameplay trailer and, more recently, a story trailer that has us all excited, even if we don’t fully understand everything that’s happening. That doesn’t matter though, more Elden Ring is a very good thing.

Shadow of the Erdtree is the only DLC for Elden Ring and will close out the story.

Some fans will be able to get the DLC for a bit cheaper than others if you know where to look. Retailer Fanatical is currently offering the standard version of the DLC for 12% off at £30.79/$35.19.

They’re also offering a premium bundle, also 12% off, for £37.83/$43.99, which is a great bargain if you’re looking to get onboard at launch.

Of course, it should be noted that this offer is for PC only, as Fanatical is a trusted PC key retailer, so you can’t pick up the offer for your PS5 or Xbox.

Shadow of the Erdtree comes out 21 June 2024 and explores the history of The Lands Between from when Queen Marika ascends to godhood while also showing a journey into a new land by Miquella.

There’s a lot of speculation as to what will happen in the Land of Shadows but I think it’s safe to say that we’re going to get more weapons, classes, monsters, and of course, huge bosses that will kick our butts.

This is the only DLC for Elden Ring sadly, but it’ll likely be worth every penny and every minute as FromSoft will be pulling out all the stops in order to see off this world in style.

What comes next from the developer is unknown right now, but fans will begin clamouring for news just as soon as this DLC comes to a close.
