Dark Souls fans get surprise new release, but you don't have long

The highly sought after item is back

Dark Souls fans can rejoice to learn that a popular item of memorabilia is available once again and won’t require you to break the bank. However, there’s not long left to grab it.

First released back in 2019 by Future Press, the Dark Souls Trilogy Compendium celebrated all things FromSoftware and, as you can probably guess, paid homage to the iconic Dark Souls trilogy.

As you can expect with anything related to such a loved series, the compendium sold instantly and it wasn’t long before second-hand copies were listed on eBay at ridiculous prices.

However, Future Press is back to save the day by launching a “strictly limited one-time reprint” of the book and this time it will feature 25th anniversary branding along with some other improvements to the cover and art.

Now, you may be wondering why it is a 25th anniversary edition when Dark Souls was only released in 2011. I’m no good at maths myself but even I know that isn’t right.

However, this refers to Future Press’ 25th anniversary, not the anniversary of Dark Souls. So, happy anniversary to them!

The new-and-improved Dark Souls Trilogy Compendium is now available to grab on Amazon at around $49 but with Future Press hammering home it being a “one-time” reprint, we doubt you will have long to get your hands on a copy.

The synopsis reads: “If you’re new to Dark Souls, or interested in the story but in need of a springboard, this book will get you up to speed on everything that the games explicitly reveal."

"It also provides the means to connect the dots and start forming your own theories, while acting as a complete reference book of the creatures, characters and locations that make up these magnificent games.”
