Fans of Cyberpunk 2077 or a futuristic sci-fi setting in general should keep an eye on this upcoming release which will also cater to those with a penchant for nostalgia.

Over recent years, Cyberpunk 2077 has cemented itself as a key title in the sci-fi/dystopian genre with the CD Projekt RED set in the not-too-distant future but starring a much different world.

This has of course stemmed from titles such as Blade Runner but there is also one other game which many old-school players would think of when this topic is mentioned.

RoboCop.

RoboCop was first released way back in 1988 and was of course inspired by the movie with the same name from 1987.

However, the run & gun, beat ‘em up title has now been reimagined and is set to release this summer.

RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is a new standalone adventure of RoboCop: Rogue City which was a first-person shooter released back in 2023 by developer Teyon.

Now the story is set to be continued on 17 July as players face elite mercenaries and enforce the law amidst a whole lot of chaos.

Continuing on from Rogue City, we will pick up after we left off after RoboCop’s victory over Detroit’s gangs. However, a new chapter is about to unfold.

The streets are still riddled with crime but there is a spark of hope: the OmniTower, a building designed to provide a home to the older citizens of Old Detroit.

However, when a gang of mercenaries take over the complex in order to make it into a deadly fortress, RoboCop is called in to deal with them.

Not only that but original fans of the series will also get to play as Alex Murphy once more, the man who existed before he took on the mantle of RoboCop.

As mentioned, RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is set to be released on 17 July for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
