CD Projekt RED is not done with Cyberpunk 2077, following the announcement of a fresh update that promises “new features”.

As revealed on the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account, the developers announced that a live stream (that is set to go live in a matter of hours) will detail all of the new additions coming in “Update 2.2”.

“Join us for a new episode of #REDstreams,” reads the press release, “Where we'll dive deep into the new features Coming Soon for Cyberpunk 2077 in Update 2.2!"

“See you tomorrow at 5 PM CET on our Twitch and, for the first time ever, simultaneously on our YouTube channel.”

In terms of what the update will include, we can only theorise at this point in time. But, thanks to a Tweet from CD Projekt RED’s global community director Marcin Momot, we can tell you what it won’t include.

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way.

Thank you in advance to Robert Ramsey over on Push Square for spotting this one!

“A lot of questions about whether PS5 Pro support and NG+ are coming with Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.2. The answer is no,” Momot revealed.

“We do have some other cool stuff in the oven and we’ll talk about it tomorrow during the stream—we hope you’ll like it too! Appreciate the patience.”

The update has come as a bit of a surprise for fans, considering most of us assumed that CD Projekt RED was done with Cyberpunk 2077 at this point.

That’s mostly just because we kind of assumed they were a little too busy.

They're helping Fool's Theory with the remake of The Witcher, working on Project Hadar (their first original IP), and also recently announced that The Witcher 4 had entered "full-scale production" last month.

Plus, they’re in the process of porting Cyberpunk 2077 to new platforms.

We won’t have to wait long for the live stream to find out what they’ve been working on at least, as it’s thankfully less than six hours away at this point.
