Crimson Desert is the gift that keeps on giving; players have hardly scraped the surface of its enormous open-world, with a paid DLC and potential multiplayer mode already on the way.
In the meantime, Pearl Abyss remains dedicated to steadily improving the game via a number of updates and patches, the latest of which has now landed.
Update 1.14.00 is rolling out now, and it introduces a feature we’ve wanted since launch, cross save.

Cross save is available across PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store and essentially does exactly what you think.
If you want to play the game across multiple consoles, you can now do just that, saving your game within a single save file.
That means you can play on, say, a PlayStation 5 at home and then pick up right where you left off on a Steam Deck on the go.
To enable cross-save, you simply need to link the relevant platform accounts to the game via your Pearl Abyss ID.
When you save your game, you should then be able to spot a cross save slot at the bottom right of the save menu; use this instead of the regular slots.
There is one cross-save slot per Pearl Abyss ID that’ll work across all platforms.
It’s not the only change made to Crimson Desert.

Little has been revealed about Crimson Desert’s future at this point, including precisely what that paid DLC entails.
In terms of a multiplayer mode, CEO Huh Jin-young said that the team is “currently conducting various studies on both technical feasibility and gameplay”.
He continued, “While it is not the stage to discuss a confirmed release plan, we are continuously reviewing ways to allow users to enjoy the Crimson Desert IP for longer, and I believe there is room for a multiplayer mode in that process.”
