'COD: Vanguard' Has Fewer Viewers On Twitch Than People Sleeping

The mark of a successful game

I think it's fair to say that Call Of Duty: Vanguard hasn't quite resonated with fans in the same way as other recent Call Of Duty entries.

The World War II shooter has still been a massively successful game in the way any Call Of Duty is guaranteed to be, but its staying power seems to be... lacking.

Take a look at some of the best Call Of Duty wins and fails below!

Vanguard has been hit with its fair share of complaints, much like any Call Of Duty. But one of the most damning indictments of the game comes from its Twitch viewing figures.

Now, I should point out that how many people are watching a game on Twitch is by no means a marker of whether it's a good game or not, but it is undeniably a strong indication of how many people care about said game. And I don't think anyone can argue that it's not a great sign that Call Of Duty: Vanguard currently has less viewers on Twitch than streams of people sleeping.

According to Twitch's own metrics at the time of writing, Vanguard currently has a total of 2.9k viewers. That's 2.9k viewers across various streams of the game, to be clear. The "I'm Only Sleeping" category currently boasts 5.3k viewers.

For further comparison, Call Of Duty: Warzone has 47k viewers, so it's not like people don't care about Call Of Duty in general - although it is worth noting that the battle royale is always going to be more successful on Twitch.

Interestingly, I'm Only Sleeping is actually a video game, but the category has since grown beyond the game and is largely now for streamers who sleep during their broadcasts. In other words, there's no way around the fact that Twitch finds people sleeping more interesting than Call Of Duty: Vanguard. Do with this information what you will.
