Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 first teaser trailer released by Activision

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 first teaser trailer released by Activision

Black Ops 6 is on the way!

Activision has announced the next entry in the Call of Duty series with a very teasing trailer ahead of the next big release later this year.

The trailer is teasing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and it seems to feature what looks to be an espionage mission at night with a theme that suggests government lies and corruption (shocking). Many fans are hoping that the next Call of Duty will launch on Xbox Game Pass now that Microsoft owns Activision Blizzard but that might not be the case, at least for this year.

Check out the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 trailer below!

The most recent entry in the series was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III which was released last year but it wasn't well-received by fans and reviews alike. In our review of the Modern Warfare III campaign, we said: “Call of Duty deserved much better than this churned-out disappointment.”

“If you’re desperate for a bit of CoD this year, then you’ve probably already picked this game up. Otherwise, give this game a miss or at least hold out for patches to fix some issues.”

On a website called ‘The Truth Lies’, the teaser trailer is presented in an old TV format with the option to play, pause, forward and rewind the footage. It also has a channel dial and the website URL has the number ‘one’ in it, this might suggest future teases will be presented in this format, only time will tell.

The TV on the website looks like something straight out of the late 80s and early 90s which might play into the rumours that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be set during the controversial Gulf War. We should learn more about the next entry during the Call of Duty online event on 9 June 2024.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expected to be released on PC, PlayStation and Xbox towards the end of this year. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we learn new details.
