Leaked info on Call Of Duty 2024’s Zombies mode sounds like a huge innovation for the series, even bigger than Modern Warfare 3’s open world.

It’s a shame to say Call Of Duty: Zombies isn’t what it used to be, in fact you could argue it’s a shell of its former self due to some poor creative decisions in the last few iterations of the mode.

The Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies mode attempted to innovate the series with an open world, which you can see for yourself below.

This year, another Call Of Duty game will make its debut and apparently take players into Gulf War as a direct sequel to Call Of Duty: Blacks Ops Cold War.

Of course, while the game will feature another single player campaign and multiplayer modes, it’ll also include another version of the beloved Zombies mode, and leaks suggest the gameplay will be drastically different to previous versions.

According to dataminers, the next Zombies mode will see players tasked with completing a series of objectives with the match starting off in a form of hub world.

This would be drastically different to what we’ve had so far as at its core, Zombies has always been about surviving for as long as possible, though there were some objectives to complete if you wanted to see the Easter Egg hidden on some of the maps.

It’s said players will be given all the tools needed to survive/progress like a device to upgrade weapons and perks, with the actual gameplay taking place through a number of portals.

This information is to be taken with a pinch of salt, as the next Call Of Duty game hasn’t even been announced yet, let alone what modes it’ll be packaged with.

Call Of Duty games typically launch around the end of the year following a Summer reveal, so we’ll hopefully get our first glimpse of the next game in the next few months.
