EA DICE have struggled a lot with the release of Battlefield 2042. Launching in what players deem to be an incomplete state, it is one of the worst rated games of all time on online storefront Steam.

The combat is unbalanced, and the graphics, animations, and textures are riddled with bugs. As such, the player count has reached a devastating new low for what was once one of gaming’s biggest franchises. The player count has dipped so badly in fact, that some players have been struggling to find enough people to play with. This tragic turn has led fans to start a petition requesting a refund for the game on all platforms. This petition was in part influenced by rumours that claim that EA are considering making the FPS game free-to-play

If you want to see just how wacky playing Battlefield 2042 is, then check out some of the hilarious wins and fails in the video below.

The developer claims that it is taking on board player feedback and attempting to address ongoing issues in updates. However, the team even admits that these changes are taking longer to be fixed than is acceptable.

As spotted by Twitter user @TalonPlaysYT, some users are now experiencing extreme flashing lights in-game and in menus since the 4.0 update. While players were excited to finally get voice chat added, albeit five months after launch, this bug introduced in the latest patch is dangerous to those who suffer from photosensitivity.

Warning: The video in the tweet below contains strong flashing lights.

⚠ EPILEPSY WARNING ⚠️
Dear @EA_DICE - you need to fix this immediately!

Following your latest patch today, the game has a *DANGEROUS* flashing both in the menus and in a match itself!

This clip shows the menu, but it's worse in-game! Fix please! #Battlefield2042 #BF2042 pic.twitter.com/Kb57JOQQun

Gameplay programmer at EA DICE, Oliver Andersen, immediately responded to the tweet saying that he would forward the information onto the team. However, there has been no official response from the company at the time of writing, but we hope that it addresses the issue promptly.
