Battlefield meets Resident Evil in brutal new shooter

Hungry for gore?

Battlefield and Resident Evil fans will want to check out this brutal new shooter that’s coming soon.

War and gore go together like whiskey and ice, and all things nice. Military shooters such as Battlefield and Call of Duty have often led the way when it comes to the gritty and brutal depiction of tactical combat.

However, sometimes, we like to play war-inspired games that are less realistic, and something that resembles the horror movies of Clive Barker or Wes Craven.

One horror shooter that may fit that mould is the upcoming Hunger, developed and published by the indie studio Good Fun Corporation.

“War has ravaged Europe, but something far worse now grips the continent. A Bacterium of unknown origin has twisted the land, leaving behind only ruin, fear, and something far more sinister,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.

“In this PvPvE first-person extraction RPG, players will scavenge a decaying world, face unspeakable horrors, and outlast rival survivors in desperate, high-risk expeditions where every step could be your last…”

It’s easy to be duped by a promising gameplay trailer, as its single focus is to convince us to make a purchase. That being said, Hunger does look fantastic, and hopefully, it plays as good as it looks in the trailers.

“I cannot wait for this...Looks so badass!” said Jonsandman, replying to the tweet above.

“Those guns look sick,” exclaimed IrregularDave.

“Finally, some competition for Hunt Showdown,” declared Leotas.

Hunger has no release date at the time of writing, but it will be coming to Steam early access soon. So be sure to add it to your wishlist to be notified of its launch.

Hunger will also be available on the Epic Games Store, and with a bit of luck, it will get a console release one day with crossplay.
