Battlefield 6 Patched, Update 1131 Issued Including Three Big Fixes

Yes, we've had one Battlefield 6 patch this week, but what about another?

The team behind Battlefield 6 has just announced that a new patch for the game is now live (because the last patch for the game apparently broke a few things).

If you’re reading that headline and wondering why we’re a week late reporting on Battlefield 6’s latest patch, surprise! This is actually a brand new patch, which is (as of writing) less than three hours old.

Back on December 5, Electronic Arts dropped patch 1.1.3.0 for Battlefield 6, which included a bunch of new stuff like a limited-time map, limited-time events for the Domination, Conquest and Gauntlet mods, and even some fresh new Battle Pass rewards for the Winter Offensive event.

It seems that the new update was relatively well received (although the Battlefield 6 community complains so much that it’s sort of hard to tell). However, it seems that the 1.1.3.0 patch introduced a nasty little bug that’s been plaguing players on PC.

According to dozens of posts over on the r/battlefield6 subreddit, the previous patch introduced some micro-stuttering issues. Now, if you don’t know what micro-stuttering is, I’d highly suggest you check out this explanation from JayzTwoCents if you want the long answer.

If you want the short answer (from someone far less qualified), it’s (as the name may imply) a stutter effect that makes it seem as if the image on your display has temporarily paused.

Usually, this only occurs when playing games on high or uncapped frame rates, but it seems that Battlefield 6 players on PC have been running into the issue even when playing at 60 frames per second.

Well, if you can relate, then I have some good news for you. As revealed in a post on the official @BattlefieldComm Twitter account, hotfix patch 1.1.3.1 is now live, and it’s taking aim at three specific bugs.

Obviously, the micro-stuttering issue has been addressed, but the patch notes also state that both “Firing Range inconsistencies” and a bug that caused issues in the main menu have also been fixed.

For the time being this new patch is only available on Steam, but the community post states that the team “are working towards these fixes taking place on December 15th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the EA app.”

I can only hope that the next patch fixes this weird bug I keep running into where everyone else in-game seems to be way more accurate than me.
