Battlefield 6 gets explosive first trailer

Battlefield 6 has been gaming’s worst kept secret, with leaks coming out of closed testing, screenshots floating about social media, but now we’ve finally got the first trailer.

Titled simply, Battlefield 6, the new shooter from DICE and EA Games, will likely go head-to-head with Call of Duty later this year.

The trailer for the game has dropped over on YouTube, and it shows exactly what you’d expect; lots of soldiers, a President of the United States giving a stirring speech, and plenty of guns.

Oh, and there’s a fair few explosions, for good measure.

While no release date was attached to the trailer, it’s said to be coming this year as we “Lock & load for the ultimate all-out warfare experience.”

After what appears to be a terrorist attack on US soil, the army is sent to quell any uprising and seek out vengeance.

From bridges being blown up, to theme parks being blown up, and along the way, apartment buildings get blown up.

Of course, they do, because the Battlefield franchise prides itself on destructive environments, and what better way to show it than lots of debris.

The official blurb for the game notes that we will, “Witness the vicious path of destruction carved by Pax Armata, the world’s leading private military company. PAX pursues the destruction of NATO and its allies, stopping at nothing to uphold their motto: ‘Our Protection, Your Peace.’”

This was only the reveal for the single-player campaign for Battlefield 6, another reveal is coming on 31 July which dives into the multiplayer experience waiting for us.

You can be sure this will be another shooter to dominate player’s time as they, “Rip through the skies in aerial dogfights. Demolish your environment for a strategic advantage. In a war of tanks, fighter jets, and massive combat arsenals, your squad is the deadliest weapon.”
