When it comes to the battle of the FPS, Battlefield and Call of Duty are at the forefront with each vying for the top spot.
However, it seems as though Battlefield 6 may have some explaining to do after players noticed a familiar looking skin pop up in the recent battle pass.
Included as part of the Season 1 Battlefield Pro bundle, which either cost $25 or was included in the Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition, a certain skin can be earned but Call of Duty veterans will see that it looks quite familiar.
In a Reddit post shared just yesterday, one user wrote, “They aren’t beating the allegations with this one”, alongside a side-by-side image of the Call of Duty “Ghosts” logo and the new face and head gear for Battlefield 6.

It is clear that the Objective Ace skin for Battlefield 6 has taken some inspiration from Call of Duty here but is this a result of good old-fashioned plagiarism or something more sinister such as AI?
Although some may claim that it is just a mere coincidence, there is no denying the similarities such as the “crack” across the lower half of the face and the chip over the top of the right eye.
With Battlefield 6 previously receiving allegations of AI usage via cosmetics in its online store, it is clear that no studio is safe but this recent comparison may just be the final nail in the coffin.
“Looks like an AI copy, why would an artist draw the crack going through the lower face?” One person asked to which a user replied, “I think the little empty spot on the upper right eye is what convinces me that it is AI copied.”
AI, plagiarism or coincidence?

“This is blatantly copying the Ghosts logo and their mask designs which are original designs to CoD,” another explained, alongside the inclusion of some comparison images.
“CoD also has other characters with skull masks that this IS NOT copying, so it is not an issue of skull masks in general being unique to CoD, but this specific design.”
With many calling it “blatant”, “AI slop”, and a “TEMU version” of Call of Duty’s original design, it is clear that this battle pass addition has not been received well by fans.
Battlefield Studios have yet to comment on the suspected plagiarism or AI usage but with other allegations of AI under its belt, it is unlikely to do so.
Nevertheless, in the battle of Call of Duty vs Battlefield, it seems as though this recent discovery will have extremely negative connotations for the future of Battlefield 6 despite the FPS only just celebrating the launch of its first season.
