Manchester City star Jack Grealish is less than happy with EA Sports after seeing his in-game model for the recently released FIFA 23, and it's not hard to see why.

The FIFA franchise is no stranger to the occasional unsettling facial render, with the beloved video game series taking some of the most well-known faces in football and turning them into genuine sleep paralysis demons. Now, Mr Grealish joins these hallowed ranks.

Grealish, a well-documented FIFA fan, took to Instagram last week to call out EA for butchering his virtual face

“Nah cmon man, @EASPORTSFIFA. Look like that geeza out of Toy Story!!!!!” he wrote.

If you're unsure which geeza from Toy Story Grealish is referring to, it's Sid. You may well remember Sid is the terrifying bully next door who tortures toys for fun, made all the more terrifying by the technology of the time lending his face a... less-than human quality. I definitely wouldn't be pleased if anyone thought I actually looked like that.

As you can see below, the in-game Grealish is genuinely pretty monstrous. You could land a plane on that forehead.

Creepy footballers aside, FIFA 23 is yet another winning entry in the franchise. In our 8/10 review, we said that the newest FIFA instalment - the last with EA Sports at the helm - is a blast.

"Is FIFA 23 a positive step forward for the franchise? In short, yes, it is," James Daly wrote. "The gameplay improvements from 22  to 23 could as much be down to my shifting from Series X to PC, so I’ll ignore that, but the inclusion of features like cross-play for certain online modes is a huge boon."
