For a limited time only, GAMINGbible's ‘game of the year’ Astro Bot has plummeted in price as part of a huge flash sale.

The title scooped up a grand total of five awards at this year’s BAFTA Games Awards - including the most coveted title of ‘best game’.

The 3D platformer from Japan’s Team Asobi overtook Still Wakes The Deep, a British horror title that picked up three prizes for New Intellectual Property, Performer in a Leading Role, and Performer in a Supporting Role.

Other games worth a shout-out include Helldivers 2 which took home two gongs for Multiplayer and Best Music, whilst Tales of Kenzera: Zau won Game Beyond Entertainment.

What to know about 'game of the year': Astro Bot

Here at GAMINGbible we're firm fans of the cult title and left a glowing review for Astro Bot last year. The review reads, “To call it a ‘game of the year’ contender felt too small an appraisal. What Team Asobi have crafted is a joyful and wonderfully immersive masterpiece that builds upon the foundations established in Astro’s Playroom to create an end product that is unlike anything else I’ve ever played.

“Everything about this game is fantastical - it’s nonsensical, in the best way. Total make believe and yet, never has a gaming world felt so real and tangible.”

In this latest adventure, gamers must pick up the pieces after Astro’s PlayStation 5-shaped ship is attacked by an alien. It’s your mission to search the five galaxies to reunite Astro’s fellow bots and restore the group’s ship.

As you work your way through the game’s various levels, you need to collect bots as you go, as they will help you on your mission. There are 300 in total to collect and during your expedition, you can feast your eyes on the visual masterpiece it is.

There is meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of the game, from the ‘pitter-patter of rain, the crunching of icing sprinkles under your feet, the soft tread of sand’.
