Ubisoft just can’t quite seem to shake the drama this year, huh?

Star Wars Outlaws launches tomorrow, on 30 August, although it’s been available in early access for a few days.

With a score of 77 over on Metacritic, Outlaws clearly offers a fun if mildly flawed experience.

Personally, I think 77 is a pretty respectable score with Metacritic deeming it ‘Generally Favourable’ but hey, you know what the internet is like when something is anything less than perfect.

It is, however, disappointing to see that PlayStation 5 players in early access are being forced to restart their saves due to a game-breaking bug.

Ubisoft will follow-up Star Wars Outlaws with Assassin’s Creed Shadows on 12 November.

To many, it’s the most anticipated AC instalment in recent memory.

For a small but loud minority though, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is cause for outrage.

Why? Well, it’s a can of worms you’re probably not going to want to dive into. Let’s just say there are plenty of accusations of ‘wokeness’. I roll my eyes as I type.

For those of us who are looking forward to Yasuke and Naoe’s journey though, Ubisoft has revealed that some of us will be able to get our hands on the game early.

Take a look at Assassin’s Creed Shadows in action below.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be exhibited for the public at this year’s EGX x MCM event.

Held at London’s Excel, EGX runs from 25 to 27 October and is a must-visit for UK-based video game fans.

EGX has been running for several years but this is the first time that it’ll run concurrently with MCM Comic Con - double the fun.

You’ll be able to go hands-on with a selection of incredible video games, do some shopping, spot cosplays … the usual convention affairs.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now confirmed to be one of those available hands-on experiences.

“Ubisoft is delighted to be partnering with ReedPop to bring Assassin’s Creed Shadows to EGX this year. We can’t wait to see how players will react to the latest iteration of the series,” said Ubisoft events and esports marketing manager Neale Maker.

Attendees will reportedly have the opportunity to get involved in other AC themed activities to be announced in due course.

If you’re at the event, this is one opportunity not to miss.
