'Assassin's Creed Mirage' Is Very Similar To 'Unity', Says Leak

A new leak appears to suggest that Assassin's Creed Mirage is borrowing two of Unity's most popular features.

Last week, Ubisoft officially confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is to be the next instalment in the studio’s wildly popular franchise. Besides the fact that Mirage is to be set in ninth-century Baghdad, we know very little about the game aside from the fact that the mysterious assassin in the cover art is Valhalla’s Basim. A fresh leak now provides further new insight.

Speaking of Ubisoft, check out the trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora below.

YouTuber j0nathan, who previously leaked the now-confirmed title of Assassin’s Creed Mirage has released further details on the title’s gameplay (shared via Twitter user Mr_Rebs_). The leaker claims that Baghdad is “the only city in the game,” but it will be divided into multiple zones - each with its own boss. The various zones will be surrounded by desert, oases, and rivers.

It certainly sounds like Mirage is heavily inspired by Assassin’s Creed Unity. The similarities don’t stop there as Mirage will have “lots of NPCs in the streets” and will feature “lots of interactions for the parkour such as ‘lanterns’ to turn around the corner of a wall, or poles to reach distant buildings.” Unity hands down has the best parkour in the series, so it would be great to see Mirage match this.

Additional Assassins Creed Mirage information has been shared by j0nathan (YouTube).

The leaker further added that Mirage will mark the return of throwing knives and rooftop hiding places, plus some assassinations would now be in slow-motion. As always, take all leaks with a pinch of salt but j0nathan’s previous claims proved to be true. The Ubisoft Forward is set to take place on 10 September where we expect a full reveal.
